With a new mason and a new house plan, the building is going so well on Vierge’s home for her and her 7 children. The land belongs to her family and her sister and her family live next to this house.
These photos were taken this morning but by 3 PM the roof had been put on and the front door is in place! A three man construction team from Canada worked to get the roof on. If Hurricane Irene stays away a little longer, in the morning, I will go to the house and take new photos.
Vierge tells me continuously how happy she and the children are with the progress on the house and cannot wait to move into it and make a home there!
This is the 4th house that GLA has built and we have 12 more to build. We will get started on the next one as soon as the Haitian construction crew is completely finished with Vierge’s home this week.
Vierge and her family thanks everyone who donated funds to the Earthquake relief reconstruction fund!
