On Christmas Eve, Kid President encouraged us to all do something to change the world.
I really really like that kid and I'd love to meet him some day.
I want to change the world in 2014. Specifically, I want to change the world for a group of children in Haiti.
Because God told us to. We all know what James 1:27 says about pure religion being caring for orphans.
God wants, no God requires that we care about the orphans of the world.
For me personally, it's a couple of things - because God told us to. Two of my five kids are Haitian.
But it's also because of the long term effects of the earthquake, because Haiti is only a short plane flight from Miami and because Haiti has been struggling for a very long time and much of it is because of first world "governmental trade policies."
But no matter where it is, God is calling us to care for the children of the world, particularly the children who have no one who can love AND care for them.
Over the next few days, I'm going to be outlining four main projects that I want your help with in 2014. These projects will, in my view, change the world for a bunch of kids in Haiti. Want a "sneak preview" of them? In a few short words:
- Sticks and Stones
- Diapers and Grass
Stay tuned to know more but let me tell you this for now. Every single one of these projects will, in some shape or form, change the world for the kids at GLA.
Come with me, we can't do it with out you. Let's change the world for these kids in 2014.
