Change the World through Sticks and Stones
So, how can you change the world through sticks and stones?
By helping us finish Ft. Jacques. After the phenomenal gift that Family Christian Stores gave us over the American Thanksgiving Day weekend ($278,000 +) for the new main house, the reality of moving up to Ft. Jacques is a lot closer than it was. But there's a lot to be done yet.
Hopefully within the first month or so into 2014, we'll be able to come up with a plan of what needs to be built yet, approximate costs, at a minimum sketches or drawings of what they will look like and approximate time frames for each building. That's when I'm going to get busy talking to all of you about getting the world changed.
I'll be able to tell you what buildings are needed, provide some details on what they will look like and cost and when we'll need the funds for them. You can then decide what part you want to play and where you want to support changing the lives of the kids at GLA.
By the end of 2014, I want to have all of Ft. Jacques accounted for. Actual donations and pledges that coincide with the timing for those particular buildings will be completed so we know that the only thing left is the actual building of the buildings.
Reaching that goal will be the culmination of an 8 year challenge. 8 years ago we began the process of buying Ft. Jacques. Help us change the world for the kids at GLA by finishing this up in 2014.
I'll be in touch as the plans and information gets pulled together, in the mean time, if you could prayerfully consider what role God wants you to play in changing the world for these kids, that would be awesome.
Let me know if you have questions,
