Changes at Fort Jacques this week on the Staff House…

I cannot believe how quickly the the staff house is all coming Georges 113together.  The work teams that have come are just amazing.  We needed to get kitchen cabinets made.  John was going to make the boxes, but has to run to the States on Monday for a medical follow-up for his skin cancer and won’t be back for two weeks.  But God sent us a cabinet maker on the Crossroads team that is here this week!  What a surprise when John told me that one of the team members makes cabinets and is willing to build the cabinets for the staff house kitchen!

The team is working this morning trying to get as much done as they can.  They leave on Monday.  Hopefully, the cabinets will get finished and what doesn’t get done will be easily finished by John when he comes back home.

The team also worked on putting up some of the ceiling board and wall board.  Since we do not have anyone with experience in laying ceramic tile available, we are checking to see if we can hire someone in the community to lay the tile for us.  Magaly is checking with people she knows.  We need to get the tile done so that we can install the cabinets.  Getting this house done will be a huge blessing and we thank God for sending such talented workers to GLA!

Here are some photos of the progress on the house:
