I received a call from the neurosurgeon yesterday telling me that he has postponed the surgery again because the thoracic surgeon could not assist this Saturday as planned!
Vivianne and I are very disappointed. We are all ready to return to Haiti. Frantina needs this metal plate in her neck removed. She cries many times at night from pain in her neck now. It was not causing pain before, but we are noticing her holding her neck more and more as time goes on.
Everyone is so busy back at the orphanage trying to register children in the school sponsorship program, getting proposals ready for adoptive parents, trying to find birth parents to come to court meetings, working at trying to understand the new IBESR policies, and just taking care of 150 children!
Please pray for the staff at the orphanage, for Vivianne, Frantina, and I while we wait in Santo Domingo, and pray for the changes that are taking place in the adoption world in Haiti!
