We are working on several fundraising ideas and will post them as soon as they are developed.  Several ideas that we are working on are a GLA cookbook, a GLA calendar, greeting cards, candybar sale, Haitian painting of your child or grandchild, and even web cam visits between parents and their adopted children!  So check back from time to time to see what we are doing with fundraising! 

 

WEB CAM With Your Child!

 

Our volunteers want to help the orphanage and children by putting on a 3 month fundraisier starting 20 April and ending 20 July 2009.  Parents can see and talk to their child for 10 minutes via web cam once a month for 3 months. The cost is $150 USD.  All funds raised will go directly to the care of the children.  We will have limited times each day for scheduling visits.  Some Saturday times will be available also each week.  If you are interested in visiting with your child via web cam, please write for a list of visit times available. We will be using Yahoo and Skype for web cam.  We cannot be responsible for weather problems but will try to reschedule your visit if we do not have a clear signal on the day of the visit.

Purchase an Original Haitian Portrait of Your Adopted Child or Grandchild!

We have found a wonderful Haitian potraiti painter who is willing to do some potraits of children at GLA to help us raise funds.  I think many families would love to have an original portrait of their child to showplace in their home.  This is a wonderful gift from Haiti that you will cherish for years to come.  The artist takes about 5 days to paint each portrait so we are taking limited orders.   We are also offering this to parents of children who have already left GLA. If your child has already left GLA and you want to participate, send us a photo.  Limited to 3 children in the painting. 

Email us at GLA if you are interested.  Once you have decided to participate, Joyce and Molly will send you 2 or 3 photos to choose from for your painting. Let us know if you have received a favorite photo that you would like to be painted.  The painter does best with close ups of the children showing their faces.

Cost: $200 USD

Add $30 for shipping if your child has already left GLA.  If your child is still at GLA then we will give you the painting when you come to take your child home.

BUILDING FOOT BY FOOT

 

Building Foot by Foot

We are excited to move forward with the next two buildings - the "Baby House" and the "Guest House".  We have named this fundraising effort "Building Foot by Foot", and look forward to seeing it take shape.  The "Baby House" floor plan has been printed with each square foot detailed on a grid.  We want to give you the opportunity to invest in the lives of the children at God's Littlest Angels by purchasing one (1) square foot at $35.00 for the new orphanage.  Perhaps you can purchase one square foot each month.  Or, you could recruit a business or home builder to purchase a whole room!  You will recieve an income tax receipt and a  certificate listing how many square feet you bought.  We will also color in the floor plan and you can keep track of how many square feet have been donated!
