GLA and the Aftermath of Hurricane Matthew: No Better Time to Help!

Hello Everyone!

GLA is consistently appreciative of the prayers and support that you give to us.  Now, as our organization contends with the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, we really need your help more than ever.

The good news is that we are all safe.  The bad news is that we’ve experienced quite a bit of damage at our Ft. Jacques property and the Baby House.  We’ll also need to do a lot of repairs to get the toddlers back into their houses, as trees are down, roofs caved in, and there’s also water damage.  In addition, the gazebo is gone, and the barn roof is peeled back so inside contents may be also be damaged and/or ruined.

Beyond the grounds of GLA, our whole community has yet again been affected by a natural disaster.  We are in the process of assessing that damage, so that we can help in those repairs as time and funding will allow.

Obviously, that is where your support comes into play yet again.  If you are able to help financially or with supplies, the timing could not be better for your generosity.  You can be certain that GLA will direct 100% of designated donations to this particular disaster work, all in support of our children and this community we love so much.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers, and if you’d like more information on donating to our relief efforts, click this link: (please specify hurricane relief).

In September, 1996 you brought 2 newborn twin boys into your nursery. You called them Jacques Marie and Jean Marie; today they are Joshua and Caleb. You gave them loving care for the months it took to guide us through the adoption process. They have been your gift to us (and many others) for 20 years. We rejoice that we are able to offer a gift back at this time.
