Goal Surpassed for Double Your Donation Challenge!

I am overwhelmed with the generosity of our donors.  With the newsletter that was sent out at the first of April telling of our needs for funds and the Double Your Donation Challenge, our goal was met, passed, and then blown away!  Truly it gives me shivers to see how God watches out for us and how our donors give abundantly when they know our need.

I asked Tom to blog on March 20th about the Double Your Donation Challenge.  We had a slow start in the challenge but then I blogged again about the need in April and funds started coming in.   I was amazed over Easter weekend, when we received over $40,000!

I cannot tell you how excited we have been watching daily the funds being donated to the orphanage.  I know the staff has been encouraged so much by seeing the outpouring of love and help from you!

So, would you like to know the total?

Drum Roll please!

$95, 707 plus $12,000 matched funds =

This is not designated funds so it can be used for taking care of the children.  It will be used for diapers, diesel fuel for the generators, food, medications, care for children needing assistance, Haitian staff salaries, water, etc.  I can now pay some bills that we have for fuel, medication, vaccinations, and food.  What a relief this is!  Please continue to remember the children and be praying with us that our monthly needs will continue to be met.

I should never doubt what God can do and He always surpasses my wildest expectations, but I am beyond elated by this number and I thank all of you!

Matthew 6:34

“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time."
