Just a short post before I leave Canada…

It’s almost midnight and I have to be up at 4 AM to leave for the airport at 5 AM.  I will blog about the Calgary fundraiser and the Mission Banquet at Bow Valley Baptist Church when I arrive back in the USA.  Hopefully, I will have all of the photos of different GLA families by then.

kids who are doing their partThis photo I forgot to share with you from when I was at Didsbury on Friday night. These children have their own fundraising campaign for GLA children.  The young man in the red shirt wanted to help the children and his sister and brother help him make these pictures made out of beans, macaroni shells and other things.  They then sell these and send the funds to GLA.  What a heart they have for Haiti!  Not only are they blessing the children, but they are learning early to help others!

This warms my heart! Children helping other children!!! What a blessing. Several years ago at our Adoption Agency Board of Director's meeting, I brought up the question of how many of us grew up with one of both parents volunteering and as we went around the table ALL of us had at least 1 parent who regularly volunteered and over half had both parents volunteering. If we are going to continue to make a difference, we need the children of Haiti and the children of North America and Europe to have a heart for making a difference!
