Meet Ashmey: Our Newest Addition to the Nursery!

Ashmey came to us today with her mother. She is the tenth child for her mother and her last two children, who we were told were conjoined twins, passed away at birth. Archmie's mother said that her husband passed away during the earthquake and her last few children all have different fathers. This beautiful and special baby girl is 5 months old. Archmie appears to have Amniotic Band Syndrome, she is missing her left calf/foot, her index and middle fingers on her left hand, and also has a deformity of her right leg that currently has a cast on it. Although, her mother has taken great care of her up until now, she is focused on her future. She was able to get Archmie one surgery on her right leg but feels as if she can no longer provide care for her daughter and is praying that her daughter is adopted and will receive all the medical care she needs now and in her future. Please lift up Archmie and her family in your prayers as we know the Lord is preparing a family for her.

Limb differences are not a big deal at all! I hope a family can see past all that soon. Having our limb difference son was the best blessing. Watching him over come and succeed is a daily reminder of his strength. As his parents we have front row seats to a miracle! What a sweet baby girl.

What a precious girl! Is there any chance that with sponsorships for medical care she could stay with her mother?
