Hi everyone, Britany here… I wanted to introduce you to Lisa, our new nurse here at GLA! Lisa has been a Neonatal ICU nurse for over 5 years in Manitoba, Canada and has volunteered with us four times prior to joining the team. She will be working closely with our Haitian nurses and nannies along with the all of the international and national staff at GLA. Lisa is responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of the children here at GLA. Also, she will be contributing to this blog and will continue to update you on children at the Main House. Her experience as a NICU nurse is sure to help grow and strengthen the care we are able to provide in our NICU and nurseries! It is evident that she loves all the children here and we are all excited to have her join the team. Please join me in welcoming her to GLA and praying for her as she transitions into her new role.
I also want to thank everyone for your prayer and support in my time here at GLA. I have truly been blessed. This Tuesday, I will heading to Pennsylvania due to unforeseen circumstances related to my health and hopefully, will be starting a position as a registered nurse utilizing some of the skills I have gained here! I have learned and experienced more than I could have possibly imagined. God has been diligent in growing and strengthening me here. So many children, co-workers, families and volunteers have touched my life since moving to GLA in November 2012. Although I am sad to leave, I know God’s plan and timing is perfect. I am excited to be able to introduce Lisa to you and I am confident in Lisa’s abilities and her love for each and every child here. I look forward to watching all the changes ahead and visiting soon!
