Here at God's Littlest Angels, we love to celebrate milestones!    We anticipate and celebrate when an itty bitty is big enough and strong enough to return home with their families.  We're blessed to be able to witness first smiles and to listen as little ones find their voices.

    Continuing To Praise Jesus!

This week we're praising God for the lives of all of our babies at the main house!  For about the past week, we've had a nasty virus circling the building, causing vomiting and diarrhea in many of our kids, including the teeny tiny ones.  We've been working day and night to fight dehydration.

    Survive to Thrive-Story #10

-Guest Blogger (Britany Smith-RN at GLA from 2012-2014)--I am so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to come back to GLA twice since leaving my position just over a year ago.  It is an absolute pleasure to be able to write another "Survive to Thrive" story. Amazing transformations such as this one, fill my heart with such joy and thankfulness for God's continual healing in the lives of so many children.  Some of you may remember a blog I wrote in 2014 named Angel Update...

It is with great joy (and a little sadness too) that I get to share this good news with you!  Our sweet Lensey went home this morning!  Lensey's parents were very young, and her mama died in childbirth.

  • Merry Christmas from the Main House Nurseries!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE MAIN HOUSE! We started Christmas morning with a big breakfast, and invited all of the GLA family to many wonderful faces, and great company as we all shared a meal together. We then moved upstairs and handed out gifts to the older kiddos first, one by one.

  • Main House Christmas Happenings!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from the GLA Main House Nurseries :) The preschool classroom was full of Christmas cheer yesterday morning as the children enjoyed their Christmas party. Walking into the room full of kids wearing adorable santa hats was enough to melt anyone's heart! We began the morning in prayer, followed by singing a few well known Christmas songs, in Creole.

  • Angel Updates!

I wanted to give you all an update on two of the children I recently wrote about, along with introducing you to little R, our newest angel here for assistance.      As you can see from the picture below, Lovencia continues to share her beautiful smile and joyous laughter with us all! She was just about six lbs when she came to us and she is now up to 11 lbs!

  • Little Love

Little Lovencia is an absolutely beautiful baby girl who came to us smiling! Under the circumstances, we were all truly truly surprised to see a smile on her face after about an hour of being in the NICU. Lovencia is eight months old and on admission weighed just about six pounds.

  • Peace and Rest

It is with a heavy heart I let you all know that Jepthe passed away early this morning due to respiratory complications. He has struggled and fought for his life since he arrived at GLA and prior; we take comfort in the fact that he is no longer struggling and with Jesus now. Thank you for all your support and prayers.

  • Water & Crackers

Water and crackers... sounds like something you eat when you have the flu or a stomach ache, right? How about eating that to survive?

  • Successful Surgeries!

We are now three weeks post-op for Marie Kencia, Mario, Peterson, and Yvenson! Here is a little glimpse into how it all happened and how they are doing now!      The process of having surgery with a short-term medical team in Haiti can be quite complex but it also happens fast!
