We arrived at the Medical Center at 7 AM and Frantina did very well considering she could not have anything to eat since the night before! She has been really good the whole trip. I am really impressed with how happy she is and loves looking at all of the different things around her!
They had to give her an injection to put her asleep for the MRI. We had to stay until she completely woke up which wasn’t until 11 AM! She really was sleeping soundly for almost 3 hours!
None of us had any breakfast this morning, so we went to Quiznos Sandwich shop for lunch. My commitment to eat a salad for lunch lasted until I walked in the door and smelled that homemade bread cooking!
I tried to call Dr. Lozada but had no luck getting through to him, so I sent him an email! He called me back late this afternoon with the results from the MRI. He said that he had talked to the radiologist and he is not convinced that the tumor is actually a tumor! He thinks it might be an infectious area such as Tuberculosis of the Spine! This is serious too but I will gladly accept this over CANCER! I pray that when the neurosurgeon looks at the MRI results in the morning, he will agree.
We have an appointment with the neurosurgeon at 9 AM and have to go pick up the MRI results before we go to the appointment. Please pray that he agrees with the reading of the MRI. She will still need surgery. Keep her in your prayers. I will let you know what happens tomorrow.
