New Fire Pit for our Wiener Roasts finally finished at Fort Jacques!

IMG_5510 Our son, Patrick, and his family arrived in Haiti in July.  I had wanted a permanent fire pit built so that we could have wiener roasts and parties whever we went up to Fort Jacques.

Even Pat’s big sister, Laurie, was proud of him and write to me: I am so proud of Patrick... this was his first project by himself and he did an amazing job!  Had to walk the boss' through a lot of it because they had no clue how to do this all round instead of square!  It turned out beautiful!

It has taken a couple of months to complete but it is beautiful, I agree with Laurie!  Good job, Patrick!  They had 40 people come up Sunday night and broke it in with a big party and grilled out over the fire pit!  Everyone had a great time.

Laurie also sent  a picture of their dessert!  It was banana's on the grill with brown sugar mix on top and then a whip cream on top after. They were YUMMY!

Dixie, I am so glad you are feeling better. Lots of prayers have been asked for health and healing for you. The new fire pit is wonderful looking and I pray that all who spend time there will enjoy it! Again, I am so glad you are feeling better and am thankful you were in the US to get treatment--I don't have to tell you how very, very ill you can get from pyelonephritis. I will continue to pray for increased strength and healing for you. Bless you and enjoy the rest of your time in the States. As always we continue to pray for all those living and working at GLA, particularly while you are away ! Have a very Blessed Day! --Rori Hartzell
