As I'm writing this, there is a family and their daughter being reunited down at GLA. Many of you might know her as she is the little girl who needed heart surgery back in 2011. I'm not going to say any more about their particular story other than to say that 15 minutes before I wrote this, Dad posted a picture of Mom holding daughter at GLA. A reunion that was a long time coming.
While I am thrilled for them and I'll be meeting them at the airport (blessed to have them live very close to us), hearing of their reunion brings another emotion to mind. "Who's next?" "What about the other kids who are still waiting?" "What about the kids who don't have families yet?"
Our work isn't done. We've united a lot of children with their families, families who can love AND care for them. But we still have an orphanage full of kids.
Our work here isn't done.
And we can't take care of them without resources.
And we won't have the resources without the help of people like you and me.
We've accomplished a lot in the last 6 months, we've united children with families, but our job isn't done.
And we need you to help.
The kids need you to help.
