O Christmas Tree

Putting up the Christmas Tree 1 Dec 2010 (2)Putting up the Christmas Tree 1 Dec 2010 (5)  The tree is up, yes it is!!! Might I add that DSC04421it is the first time the GLA Toddler House has ever had a real prickly, green, pine smelling Christmas Tree!!! A tree at Fort Jacques needed felling and the brilliant minds of some of GLA’s committed Fort Jacquer’s trimmed off several branches, strapped them onto the roof of the UTV, DSC04418drove them 20 minutes down the bumpy road to Toddler House, and after careful engineering, zip tied the branches to DSC04442each other at the base DSC04443sculpting from the pieces one beautiful giant tree!! Everything about it is wonderful! It took 800 lights to properly cover it, and 24 pairs of little hands to hang just enough bulbs, jingle bells, and homemade ornaments, to give it the mark of their own artistic style.

I think that is one of the most beautiful Christmas trees I have ever seen--and certainly the most precious. Kerby looks like he is all smiles adding the decorations. Merry Christmas !!!!
