Thank you for continued prayers. Last night was very gusty and windy until early into the morning hours. We had light rain quite consistently, but Thomassin seems to have again been spared damage. As the staff trickles in this morning they have varying reports from their homes. In Kenscoff the ladies say that there was much wind and rain and that a few of people lost the tin roofs on their homes, but they are so thankful that it was nothing like it could have been. Down on the northwest side of Rue Fre Adrienne reports that many tents are gone, lots of trees are down, and their is heavy water damage, but no fatalities. There is a light heartedness in the air as the gray skies lighten and the ladies know their families have come through safely. After being cooped up inside yesterday the kids are willing the skies to clear and the yard to dry out so they can go out to play.
“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Matthew 7:25 KJV
