Special Field Report: Haiti’s Orphans Held Hostage

Special Field Report: Haiti's Orphans Held Hostage from Douglas Phillips on Vimeo.

At a time when orphan babies are dying, and the children of Haiti are in the single greatest need in the history of this nation, UNICEF has worked to shut down all international adoptions.
Now in this important field report from Port Au Prince, Doug Phillips examines the present battle to rescue Haiti's children in the context of UNICEF's anti-adoptin efforts vs. the work of the Christian community to encourage the Haitian government to cut through the red tape and open the door for legitimate, qualified American adoptions.

This emergency is not a time for Unicef to reform Haiti's adoption policies. It is a time of need, the response of people wanting to help these children is the movement of God here on earth. Do they want to be responsible for the death of these innocent children while they wait?

The sad thing is the people doing the child trafficing are probably doing it right now anyway....underground, behind peoples backs, taking kids right off the street. The people trying to adopt through orphanages are the ones who truly want to help.

How sad for these children!! I was under the assumption that UNICEF was there to HELP the children. I was surely wrong on that!! I know that Haiti needs prayer, but this just confirms that we should be praying without stopping. My heart just breaks over this issue. Personally, I watch Fox News and believe that if this video was sent to them someone like Bill O'Riley would put this on his show. Dixie, you are doing such a wonderful job in Haiti; it takes very special people to do what you and your family are doing. I pray for you, that you can have peace during this very difficult time. It is so difficult to always see, but God is in control. Love, Rita H.

Dear Dixie, I agree with you, it is so sad for these children!Hope that this situation will be resolved pretty soon. I know, for being at the orphanage last NOvember, that you are doing a wonderful job and that your work is in the interest of the children only. You love them with Christ love and you do everything possible for their well being. I pray for you and the staff during this hardship. Love in Christ, Jocelyne Gauvreau Canada
