Survive to Thrive-Story #10

-Guest Blogger (Britany Smith-RN at GLA from 2012-2014)--I am so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to come back to GLA twice since leaving my position just over a year ago.  It is an absolute pleasure to be able to write another "Survive to Thrive" story. Amazing transformations such as this one, fill my heart with such joy and thankfulness for God's continual healing in the lives of so many children.

Some of you may remember a blog I wrote in 2014 named Angel Updates. In this blog, "Little R" was introduced as one of our newest babies. Rebecca/ Little R came to us in July of 2014 weighing just 2lbs 13oz; when Rebecca arrived she was very fragile, requiring tube feedings, oxygen, and in September 2014 she received a blood transfusion after having a drop in her hemoglobin.

Although Rebecca had gained weight prior to her blood transfusion, it really helped her turn the corner from just surviving to thriving! Fifteen months have passed since Rebecca came to us and she is doing very well! She now weighs 19lbs 10oz and is continuing to grow each day. Please continue to pray for the children as they continue t o grow and develop. Also, please pray for the staff as they care for the children each and every day.

Here are a few pictures of her time here at GLA.
