The Best Help You Can Give - Sponsor the Kids of GLA

We need your help and the best way to help GLA is always to help us in caring for the children! We are so thankful for all of our incredibly supportive sponsors. On average, we need at least 10 sponsors per child in order to meet the financial needs of providing food, clothing, medical care and shelter for all of the children of GLA (some children need more sponsors depending on the severity of their health issues). The children pictured below have no sponsors, or only a very few. Here’s a little information about each of them:

Cathiana and her twin were both brought to us, weighing 4 lbs! Cathiana had a rough start, but she’s a fighter. She is now a thriving, precious, 9 lb beauty! She loves to be carried, cuddled and rocked to sleep.

Camenesia has been full of smiles since the day she arrived with her twin sister Cathiana! She is an absolute princess, and loves to be held. She is a strong-willed, sweet girl.

Jdino has been with us since March, 2016. He started out as a very shy little man but he has recently started to come out of his shell since beginning pre-school. He loves long naps, walks to the neighborhood store, and lollipops!

Franclene is a very healthy, smiley little girl. She came to us at the beginning of March, weighing a health 8.5 lbs at 1 month old! She has done nothing but thrive since her arrival! She loves to sit up in the Bumbo seat and watch everyone in the NICU. She is full of smiles and giggles, especially when tickled.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child here at God’s Littlest Angels, please click on Orphan Sponsorship button below. Once there you can read more about the program, see photos of all the children and fill out the online GLA Sponsorship Sign-Up form at the bottom of that page.

Help us to spread the word about these children’s immediate sponsorship needs. We are so thankful for all of you who show your love and support through faithfully sponsoring these beautiful kids!

I sent money to your GLA about 15 years ago. After awhile I wanted to come and volunteer during the month of Sept and donate not only money but a lot of supplies .inwas told that I could not do this. So I stopped sending money to your orphanage . And started sending to one in Cape Haitian. Her name was Clair and even now as she is passed they would still welcome me there. You should never ask for money and then treat people like your hidi g something. I now have a child that is 17 that I adopted from that orphanage that is thriving and I I think a lot of children miss opportunities because they are hidden behind walls like your. Good luck and I pray for you little ones every day. Jollie

Dear Jollie,

I do not know why anyone from GLA would tell you that you could not come to volunteer except maybe if there were no beds available. We have people coming all of the time to donate items and just spend one day here. We have people coming with supplies and spend weeks here. I do not know when it was that you wanted to come, but saying that you could not come is not something we do here. We welcome volunteers with open arms and encourage people to come. We are not hiding anything and even if you just showed up at the gate wanting to visit, you would be allowed to come inside and tour our orphanage and sit down and talk to us.

I’m sorry that somehow you thought that you were not welcome here, because that is not the case and we have over 250 volunteers per year coming to GLA to help. Dixie Bickel

Jollie,

If you were coming to "pick a child to adopt" our response may have been "no, we do not allow families to come and pick a child." I do not remember your situation.
