The Great Flag Day March

“Dis-huit Mai” (Eighteen May) otherwise known as “Flag Day” has rolled around again with much anticipation!  Wearing and waving their red & blue the kids at Kay B, visitors to GLA, and staff raised their flags high and marched down the hill and to the end of our street proudly celebrating a rich heritage.  Though the sun was warm and the hill seemed enormous ALL the kids made it down and back, some just needed a helping hand… or a lift.

Courtesy of Susie and Emelyne we have photos to share of the energy this morning… hope you enjoy!

HAPPY FLAG DAY TO MY GLA FAMILY!!! :) I love the fact that you guys still have the shirts from the BBC's WORLD HAVE YOUR SAY show!!! I will never forget the day they gave them to us, the radio show that they produced that day and the sweet voices of you guys and the kids as they sang so joyfully just a couple of months after the earthquake!! Love too that you guys have such great and on going traditions/celebrations of this great day! XOXOXOXOXOXO Kelly D < :)
