We are writing our Christmas Newsletter in Haiti and will send it to the Colorado Office to print, fold, and mail for us. I am trying to get it done this week so it can be mailed by the first of December. This always takes us a while to do and we want it to look really nice for you But in the middle of doing this and all of our daily work, we did a distribution to the people in the tent city for the deaf and received two containers! We received one last week and another yesterday. And then today, part of the staff is down at the port helping with the inspection of one of the last containers that we will receive in 2010!
Sunday, I told you that everyone went to the tent city for the deaf and delivered supplies. Everything was very orderly and organized. All of the residents loved my granddaughter, Lilly June, and her bright red curly hair! All of them wanted to touch her and hug her. She was a little overwhelmed but still had a good time. Here are some photos of the distribution.
We received a container out of customs that came from Canada. It has the long awaited cement mixer and Bobcat Tractor on it! Now we can start breaking up rock and putting in foundations! The boxes and items in the container were delivered yesterday and hopefully, the tractor and cement mixer will be delivered today. We had a team from Canada and some of them helped organize the paperwork for this container. So it is nice that they are here to see it unloaded!
