Time spent in British Columbia
It has been so nice getting to see children adopted from GLA here in British Columbia, Canada. The children have blossomed and grown so much. I have spoken the last two days at Burnett Fellowship in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. They have a Saturday and Sunday church service and then afterwards, Wendy and Larry Kittlitz, my hosts here in BC, cooked a Haitian dinner of rice and beans with chicken sauce and dessert to serve those that came afterwards to hear more about God’s Littlest Angels. Wendy did a great job with the rice and beans. She cooks it in the oven and it was GREAT! I’m going to try this when I get back to Haiti and see how it turns out there.
We had some people sign up to be sponsors for GLA children. We have several children without sponsors, so this will help a lot. The church hopes to bring a team down in the Spring of 2012 to help build and do some church ministry. They would love to help Pastor Brandon plant and build some churches in Haiti which would be a wonderful thing!
Tomorrow, I have an interview for a magazine about adoptions and then will speak to a nursing class and a psychology class at Trinity University where Melinda Dewsbury, an adoptive parent, is a professor. Then at 8:15 PM tomorrow night, I fly to Edmonton, Alberta.
I wanted to share a few photos that I took with my phone of GLA children who came Saturday night to visit with me.
