Twas the Night Before Christmas….
… you know how it goes! It’s well past midnight on Christmas Eve and we are READY!
The cookies are baked. The crafts are done. The lights are hung. The trees are up. The tables are set.
The presents are wrapped. There is joy and excitement filling the air. Though the tale goes on to tell of sugar plums dancing in the children’s heads as they sleep, Samy just woke up from a nightmare. One that often occurs. When preparing Christmas this year I was constantly reminded what a blessing it is to be able to try and give them as much distraction from memories and
trauma’s they have suffered and the loved ones they are missing, though for some it
is an easy past to shake, for others the fears lingers and the hurting continues. For some it will be a lifelong struggle, but by His grace and through His love we have HOPE!!
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6
