As I'm writing this, there are 13 days left in this year.
Wow, has 2013 been a blur.
But don't let these last two weeks pass by without a year end opportunity to make a difference.
I'm not up on other countries rules and regulations, but in the United States, here are the rules that need to be followed to make a donation that counts for this year:
- If it is being mailed, it must be postmarked by no later than December 31. So if you are going to mail a gift on the 31st, make sure it gets to the post office in time to count for this year.
- If it is being done online, it needs to be processed by no later than 11:59 PM (and I believe that would be in the time zone you are in) on December 31.
Either one of those will provide you with the ability to take it as a tax deduction for this year.
I hope that you will take an opportunity this Christmas to remember how blessed we are and to reach out and support those who are caring for the least of these.
Thank you for remembering the kids at GLA.
