"Providing exceptional care and a safe haven to the smallest, sickest, and most vulnerable children of Haiti and their families."

Growth and New Beginnings

April 2021

We are very thankful for God’s mercy and provision that He has so graciously bestowed upon us all through His son, Jesus. He is taking us from the wilderness and providing life giving water in what was a very difficult year.

GLA launched into 2021 with a successful end of year giving campaign, concluding an extremely difficult 2020. We are so humbled and grateful to each donor who sacrificed during the holiday season to partner with us financially. Your giving allows us to continue the mission of GLA to provide exceptional neonatal care and a safe haven to the smallest, sickest, and most vulnerable children of Haiti. All the funds given provide the children with food, clothing and medical care; while also providing for the upkeep of GLA’s facilities. You are standing in the gap for these little ones who would have been overlooked, left to neglect, or subjected to inadequate medical care. Your partnership with GLA is what enables us to keep providing the best care!

After changes in the management of daily operations last October, we were fervently praying for God to bring the right people to His ministry at GLA. We were very pleased in November when He did just that by sending Anthonika Titus to us as the new Haitian general manager. Anthonika has a medical degree and much of her past job experience has been in medical administration. This included overseeing clinics throughout the country of Haiti. We are so excited that she can apply her experience to GLA’s NICU as we gear up to expand our capacity and quality of care. Her excitement for GLA’s mission and her ability to promote teamwork amongst staff is a great asset for operations on the ground. During her first month of employment, she organized a prayer walk with all the staff and children to rededicate GLA to God’s mission and vision in Haiti. We are thankful to have her on our team!

Though Myriam Douyon is not new to GLA she has taken on some new responsibilities. Myriam grew up as a neighbor to the GLA Main House down in Thomassin #32. Since then, she has completed her law degree and spent her career working in family and labor law. She is GLA’s current adoption coordinator, bringing her experience to both our adoptive families and assistance families. Myriam also runs the education and child sponsorship programs. Myriam was herself adopted as an infant and is very passionate about supporting family units whatever the circumstances are that bring them together.

Molly Little currently operates as remote Executive Director helping to coordinate the staff in Haiti with daily Zoom calls, creating much needed policies and procedures, and seeing to issues that arise. Dave is filling the role of Director of Development working diligently behind the scenes developing our technology base, website, media, and program communications. We are so thankful God has allowed them to continue to work with GLA to further His mission.

We are continuing to look for an executive director who can be full time at GLA, but in the meantime, God is allowing us to move forward in this capacity. Please continue praying with us for the perfect person to fulfill this role. We wait on His timing…

Easter Celebrations

We love Easter around here! Holy Week celebrations with the kids this year include Bible stories, coloring and worksheets, egg hunts, a visiting team hosting morning Bible camp, egg dying, crafts, cooking special treats, and live streaming our local church’s service.

Become a GLA Guardian

God’s Littlest Angels child sponsorship program is designed to help provide consistent funding for those little ones in our care. Whether a child is at GLA for a short time receiving medical care assistance, or a long time while awaiting adoption, your monthly sponsorship goes towards providing the safe haven they need. Sponsorship ensures each child receives nutritious food, clean water, clothing & shoes, a Christ centered education, and a 24/7 staff of nannies who know and love each child as their own. Sponsorship also goes towards providing the best medical care for premature infants, those who have special needs, and a safe home environment for the children to run & play.

Each sponsor receives a monthly update which includes a picture of their child, height, weight, and from time to time a new milestone they have reached. Please consider becoming a GLA Guardian by signing up for sponsorship. You will truly be making a difference in the life of a child while giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” 1 Peter 1:3

The kids love watching superhero videos. Whether it’s Bolt, PJ Mask, Paw Patrol, or the Incredibles all their favorite characters have super powers. We recently took a poll to find out what super powers the kids would choose if they could have only one. These were the results.

Needs List

The last 3 years of political tensions in Haiti has kept us from being able to safely welcome teams and volunteers at the mission in Fort Jacques. Those who come to visit us and join us in working shoulder to shoulder are such an encouragement to all of us. They bring a fresh enthusiasm and energy that helps us continue to push on day after day. Not only have we missed these visitors but we’ve also realized how dependent we had become on their generosity to help bring supplies into Haiti. We have tried to find local vendors to supplement the donated items visitors would bring but some things are nearly impossible to find in Haiti. If you would like to help by purchasing a pack of fitted crib sheets, chewable kids’ multivitamins, or other necessities please visit to find out more.

Virtual Volunteering

We’re looking for a few volunteers who would be willing to use their skills to help GLA create a positive impact for even more premature infants and malnourished toddlers. No need to leave the comfort of your own home. You’ll join our team virtually via Zoom, email, phone, and chat.

We are specifically looking for individuals who have experience in:

  • Graphic Design
  • Creative Writing
  • Social Media/Networking
  • Writing Grant Appeals
  • Administration
  • Advocacy
  • Bookkeeping/Accounting
  • …and other skill sets.

Please visit to fill out an application.

Adoptions are not the root of GLA’s ministry, but they have long been a part of our mission. While ideally there would be no broken families in this world, no orphaned children, no children trapped in slavery, no children enduring abuse, no suffering and no pain, we know that until God’s kingdom comes these things will continue . Each one of the kids at GLA are registered with IBESR (Haitian Child and Family Services). They do an investigation into each infant and child’s well-being and make decisions regarding that child’s future. Sometimes that decision is that the child will never be able to safely return to their biological family. In these cases, IBESR matches the GLA kids with families through international adoption. The process is lengthy due to necessary safety procedures and accountability checks which are in place to ensure there is no corruption and the child’s best interest for the future is the priority. When IBESR matches one of our kids we do our best to prepare the child for the major adjustments that will come in moving to a foreign culture. We are so thankful that during the last 13 months of pandemic health precautions in Haiti, political tension, judicial systems being on strike, and the international communities’ somewhat negative view of adoption, IBESR continues to push on diligently working towards each child’s progress towards their healthy future placement in a permanent family. IBESR has matched over a dozen GLA kids with families. Even though those families are unable to travel to Haiti at this time, IBESR regularly schedules and supervises virtual meetings with their representative, the child, our Haitian adoption coordinator, and whichever agency or government that also needs to be involved. This is no easy feat where electricity and internet tend to be intermittent and cell services drop off sporadically. We are grateful to IBESR and their resolve and flexibility in each step of the adoption process to place these children in loving families.

“God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.” Psalm 68:6

A note from the Executive Director

So much is happening this spring at GLA! Easter is a time of new beginnings and hope. Though so much of Haiti is in political turmoil, inside the peaceful lush GLA compound we see the beauty of healing, growth, and life all around us. Claudette is gaining confidence and can now proudly recite her memory verse on Friday in front of the whole class. Djore learned to tie his shoes. James learned to write his name. Estherline has taken her first steps (which she is THRILLED with herself over); and Dory and Hans are in a “who can get their teeth in the fastest” competition. We are so grateful for God allowing us to be a part of these little ones’ stories, creating a safe haven of love and belonging where they can heal from the trauma of their past and take steps towards a positive future. Without you, none of this would be possible, and we can never say a big enough THANK YOU for your investment in the work God is doing here in Haiti at GLA!

We hope you had a blessed Easter! May you know the freedom and hope that
comes from Christ’s victory over death. He is risen! He is risen indeed!

With love and gratitude, Molly Little

Forever Families

One of our most joyful (and bittersweet) times is when a long-awaited family is finally united forever. Just last week we celebrated this massive milestone. After over a year and a half of monthly virtual visits, the Sherrill family was approved by IBESR to come to Haiti and take their son home! Widelin was a part of the GLA family for almost 8 years and will leave a hole behind, but his caregivers and friends were genuinely joyful to sing our traditional goodbye songs, give him a final hug, and wish him the very best at the new life his heart pined for.
Please lift up the Sherrill family in prayer, as they navigate this time of joy and celebration in helping Widelin find his way into a new family and culture, and as he grieves the loss of his GLA family.

Continuous Improvement
Leaner Operations

Over the last year much of North America has gone remote and so are we! Our volunteers and staff in the US will now be using their home offices to provide support to GLA operations in Haiti. We’d still love to hear from you. Please send mail to our new PO Box, or contact to find out more.
