Give a Gift - Change a Life
“For unto us a child born, to us a son is given; …and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings from those of us at GLA. God has blessed GLA with another year in ministry thanks in large part to your partnership and support. As we enter the season of giving, we pray that you would consider donating to one of the categories of the 2021 Christmas Giving Catalog. GLA strives to provide exceptional neonatal care and a safe haven to the smallest, sickest and most vulnerable children of Haiti. We are passionate about making sure that we will have the highest standards in our new NICU, taking care of children who are waiting for their forever families, providing for the children living here for assistance, and valuing our staff and the community around us. In order to fulfill this tall order we need our GLA family’s help. We are so thankful for our partners, both new and old who make up the GLA family. We are truly blessed by you and all that you have done to partner with us.
As we remember our Savior who was born on Christmas day so long ago; a precious baby, born in a stable, the humblest of circumstances, and was given gifts by the Magi fit for a king. We hope that you will consider giving to the children and staff at GLA. Thank you for your consideration this Christmas.
Food for the kids
“For He satisfies the thirsty, and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:9
Hunger is a heart breaking daily occurrence for countless families in Haiti. Numerous children who have come to reside at GLA for either short term medical care or long term residential care, many times also bring with them a background of malnutrition. Food insecurity can be an ever present source of anxiety and trauma in young children. Providing three nutritious meals daily and two healthy snacks not only fosters a child’s growth and development, but it also provides the much needed emotional security and reassurance they need in knowing that the next meal will always be available. We strive to provide nutritious meals consisting of locally grown vegetables and fruit, rice, and chicken. These staples are lovingly prepared each day by our incredible cooking staff. When you generously give a gift to GLA, you will provide nourishing food needed for each child to flourish.
Your gift of $80 will provide a chicken dinner on Sunday
Your gift of $240 will provide local fresh vegetables for the week
Your gift of $1800 will provide 3 meals daily for the children and residential staff for one week

School & Education
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Education is a gift not every child in Haiti has the privilege of receiving. School is only accessible to those who can afford the cost of a private institution. At GLA we believe each child is deserving of an education that will prepare them for the future. Our children will grow up to be the next generation of leaders and our desire is to prepare them well. GLA provides excellent Christian education, bringing in certified teachers to provide individualized instruction and foster creativity and learning. Our small classes offer students an opportunity to learn at their own pace and instructional level. It has been said that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Please consider a gift this Christmas to help cover the cost of education expenses and change the world one child at a time.

the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 19:14 (ESV)
Formula, Diapers & Wipes
“Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me, welcomes not only me, but also my Father who sent me.” Mark 9:36-37
Within the walls at GLA, babies, infants and children receive high quality care as our staff strives to love each child as their own. This loving environment includes provision for basic needs; a novelty for many children in the economically challenged climate of Haiti. Children receive healthy meals on a regular schedule; for many these meals are formula. Formula is available for purchase in Haiti, but GLA often houses children that require specialty formulas such as soy, hypoallergenic, or elemental formulas. These specialty formulas are costly and not readily available in the country; requiring purchase and shipping from the USA or Canada, expounding the already exorbitant cost. In addition to formula, GLA also consumes a large amount of diapers and wipes on an average day. Would you help cover the cost of these essential items this Christmas?
Your gift of $36 can provide a case of baby wipes.
Your gift of $67 can provide formula for one day.
Your gift of $450 can provide diapers for one week.
Haiti has an estimated 1.2 million orphans and vulnerable children. Many are abandoned because their parents have no means to feed and take care of them. A large number of children become orphaned because their parents have died from disease, natural disaster, conflicts, and political turmoil. - Hope to Haiti
“He predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of his will.” Ephesians 1:5
The nannies at GLA are a positive family force in the lives of each of the children in their homes. This group of ladies loves each of these children as their own; they stay with them day and night, working tirelessly to provide for all their needs. A big part of the culture at GLA is owed to the diligence, patience, and caring these women display. The nannies at GLA sacrificially work each day to ensure that every child experiences a high quality of life in a family atmosphere. Each nanny is instrumental in the growth and development as they nurture dreams, personalities, and trust. GLA is grateful for their continued service to these children. This Christmas, please consider a gift toward helping these nannies make a liveable wage.
For a gift of $21 you can provide salaries for one house group for one day.
For a gift of $52 you can provide one nanny’s salary for a week.
For a gift of $104 you can provide salaries for all the nannies for one day
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. - Luke 2:10-11 (ESV)
Support Staff Salary
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
The hustle and bustle of the campus at GLA, combined with unreliable infrastructure in the country and the extreme driving conditions means maintenance is a constant challenge at GLA. While vehicles, generators and buildings are being cared for the office is a bustle of paperwork, schedule keeping, and meetings. While this beehive of activity bustles about at a frenetic pace, ever watchful security guards monitor gates, walls and cameras to guarantee the safety of everyone within the compound walls. The support staff at GLA are the pulse and rhythm at which GLA moves. Would you help show your appreciation for their tireless efforts by donating to help cover their salaries this Christmas Season?
A gift of $70 will help to pay all support staffing needs at GLA for one hour.
A gift of $841 will help pay all support staffing needs at GLA for a day
A gift of $3565 will help to pay all support staffing needs at GLA for one week.

“Now may the God of peace….equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ…” Hebrews 13:20-21
God has given GLA a clear mission to care for the most vulnerable; children and infants who need medical care and a place of safe haven to heal. Our NICU is relocating on the GLA campus and is in need of new equipment upgrades to be able to provide the excellent care we are known for. Most hospitals in Haiti are not equipped to provide life saving medical care to premature infants, and will refer infants to GLA. Your generous gift for NICU equipment will allow us to purchase new equipment such as incubators, infant warming beds, and monitors. Specialized medications for premature infants are also difficult to purchase in Haiti and must be ordered from the United States or Canada, greatly increasing the cost. Your gift will help to offset the cost of these items and provide little ones who will come to GLA with the life saving equipment, supplies, and medication needed.
Your gift of $5000, will help cover the cost of purchasing a new incubator
Your gift of $500, you will help cover the cost of an oxygen concentrator
Your gift of $250, you will help cover the cost of IV fluids and antibiotics
