Cutie Pie – A journey from survival to celebration

Angel Update A BEFORE AND AFTER Cutie-Pie*

*Cutie Pie was born in a small farming community in Kenscoff, Haiti on June 13, 2018. She was the 6th child to a young couple living in poverty. Her parents became very concerned for her because she was sickly, and they thought she might not survive without medical care. On October 18, 2018, her parents brought her to GLA for acute inpatient care. The next year of her life was filled with many ups and downs however she was surviving. In early 2020 she was able to have her tonsils and adenoids removed and her health started improving dramatically! Today *Cutie Pie is petite for her age, but she is strong and confident. She runs, jumps, dances and sings along with all the other children. She is such a joy for our GLA family. *Names changed to protect privacy
